Celebrities across the world are donating their time and money to help fans, first responders and others in need cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

From donating to food banks, to launching entertaining series on Instagram, to giving money for pharmaceutical research, these are the stars to follow for a little bit of happy news.

John Krasinski started a YouTube series called “Some Good News” to keep his followers entertained with positive stories.

“Alright everybody, how about #SomeGoodNews! Send me the stories that have made you feel good this week or the things that just made you smile!” said Krasinski in tweet. 

On a video posted to Instagram, Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander and his wife Kate Upton announced they would donate Verlander’s paychecks to a different organization each week.



After announcing that she and her 3-year-old son, Jameson both tested positive for coronavirus, Pink said on Instagram that she will make two $500,000 donations to help in the fight against COVID-19.

HOUSTON CELEBRITIES: Houston TV personalities share their favorite restaurants for pick-up, delivery


JJ Watt and his wife Kealia Ohai donated $350,000 to the Houston Food Bank, according to the organization.

Oprah Winfrey announced  on her Instagram she would be donating $10 million for America’s Food Fund to help those facing food insecurities.
